Privacy policy

Your account email, so you can sign in and so we can reach you. And whatever you and your company put into BuilderLine to run your jobs — job names and addresses, schedules, estimates, sub bids, client messages, and the files and photos you upload. That data belongs to your company; we hold it so the product can show it back to you.

Your data sits in a cloud database and cloud file storage, not on any one computer. Everything moving between your device and BuilderLine is encrypted in transit.

BuilderLine holds many builders on the same system, and every account is walled off from every other one. One company’s jobs, files and messages are never visible to another company — not to other customers, and not by accident.

When you ask BuilderLine a question or ask it to read a plan, the relevant job data and documents are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, so it can answer. That request goes out to answer your question — it is not used to train Anthropic’s models.

If your company uses BuilderLine’s text or email channels, the messages and attachments sent through them are processed the same way as anything else you add to a job — read, filed, and stored against that job.

Billing runs through Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles that directly, and we only keep the billing status Stripe reports back to us.

BuilderLine uses cookies to keep you signed in. That’s the only reason — there’s no ad tracking and nothing sold to advertisers.

Files, warranty items and schedule tasks go to Trash when you delete them, and are held for 30 days in case you need them back — then they’re gone for good, bytes and all. Everything else you delete goes straight away and can’t be brought back. If you want your whole account and its data deleted, write to us and we’ll take care of it.

We don’t sell your data, your company’s data, or your clients’ data. Full stop.
